Course Description

After completing this course, students will know how to:

• Create, assign and customize layers; modify a drawing scale and add and modify dimension lines
• Use themes to quickly format charts and diagrams; create themes; create and apply styles; create templates and create drawings based on custom templates
• Create complex shapes by using special drawing operations; create and edit formulas and functions; add a predefined action and custom shape behaviour to a shape; specify a behaviour for a double-click action and create stencils
• Create block diagrams, flowcharts, organisation charts and project management diagrams and generate a web site map and a report of web site links
• Integrate Visio drawings with other programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook; and work with Web-enabling features such as hyperlinks
• Create program-window prototypes and system diagrams; create database model diagrams; and reverse engineer a table from a database.

Pre Requisites

Visio Professional 2007 Basic or equivalent experience.
