Introduction

This five-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to manage Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS). Students will learn how to configure SMS components and how to manage the ongoing operations of an SMS infrastructure.

Pre-Requisites

Before attending this course, students must have:
  • Completed Course 2272, Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Course 2277, Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows ServerTM 2003 Network Infrastructure: Network Services or equivalent knowledge
  • System administrator-level working knowledge of: Deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windowsbased personal computers
  1. TCP/IP networking
  2. SQL ServerTM
  3. Active Directory® directory service
